The latest Crimson Desert Update brings more Pets and more difficulty settings and to reward all of their staff, everyone at the studio is set to receive a $3,400 bonus.
Crimson desert turned out to be a phenominal success, coming from the same Studio that created Black Desert Online – a heavily monetised MMO, I think many players were cautiously optimistic about what could be delivered with Crimson Desert.
Instead players have found that cautious optimism has paid off. Crimson desert has spread like wildfire across social media thanks to it’s many hidden secrets, rapid sizeable updates and ever changing combat.

That combat has had a further update since release, with new difficulty settings for the more casual and harcore players alike, more pets, including more dogs and cats, and now tameable birds – which includes eagles, parrots and even a phoenix, and huge expansion to the house system, making it more relevant than ever before!
With so many secrets across such a large map, many players have been scrambling to Facebook Reels to figure out where some of the most unique looking gear is. Crimson desert isn’t a game that hold your hand, it rewards exploration, and there is a good chance players will be finding new secrets even years down the line.
To rewards excellent sales and years of hard work from the developers over at Pearl Abyss the CEO has awarded each of their approximate 733 employees, 5 million won in reference to 5 million sales according to Korean news outlet MTN.
This is a stark contrast to the typical reward of layoffs after a game is complete. Just this year alone around 2000-3000 developers have been laid off, including more than 1000 from Epic Games alone.
This Crimson Desert Update has gone down especially well with fans, and if future updates are of similar quality, Crimson Desert may just have a good shot at Game Of The Year.
